DESCRIPTION

Setting

The property is located on the west side of Witherspoon Street in a mixed residential/commercial block just north of the intersection with Torrey Lane. Witherspoon Street has a tree-lined sidewalk on both sides. The building on the property was constructed immediately west of the sidewalk, leaving no front lawn.

Description

The original small gabled residence has been almost completely subsumed by a two story flat roof structure across the east and north sides. Its footprint is substantially larger than the small two story gabled house whose gable faced the street. The front elevation has a central door with single one over one windows to either side beneath three paired one over one windows under a shallow stepped parapet. The two story west facade has an irregular pattern of windows.
