History

This appears to be the oldest L-shaped house in the Witherspoon-Jackson neighborhood. Historic maps show a vacant lot in this location as late as the map of 1895. The house first appears on the historic map of 1898 and then appears on all subsequent atlases. Owners of the property have included John and Hattie Robeson (to 1914), and John and Bertha Hill (1914-1990).
