History

The earlier house on the property, demolished c. 2015, was one of the oldest buildings in the Witherspoon-Jackson community. The earlier house appeared on the historic map of 1852 and later maps and aerials. The house was abandoned in the late 20th century. The owner as of 2015 reports that the earlier house had little surviving historic fabric in the interior and had small rooms. The owner also reports that portions of the roof had failed, resulting in damage to the interior framing.
