DESCRIPTION

Setting

Mid block on the south side of Quarry Street opposite the former Quarry Street School.

Description

A radically altered early 20th century house with traces of the original form visible on the side and rear elevations. The front facade has been extended out towards the street and given a modernist treatment emphasizing horizontal lines and deconstructed corners.

History

The house on the property consists of a late 19th century core that was heavily altered c. 2005. The earlier house was a small end-gabled building that appears on historic maps as early as 1890.
