DESCRIPTION

Setting

The property is located on the north side of Birch Avenue east of the intersection with Race Street. Birch Avenue is a residential street with a tree-lined sidewalk on each side. The property has a small front lawn off the sidewalk and a paved drive along the east boundary of the parcel. The house on the property has a greater setback than other houses on the block.

Description

This house is a two-story, two-bay, front-gable, Neo-Colonial Revival building clad in vinyl siding. It features a three-sided bay window on its south (front) elevation, west of its front door, and a shed-roofed portico.

History

The house was constructed c. 2000. Historic maps and Sanborn Atlases show a vacant parcel in this location as late as 1997. The house first appears on the historic aerial of 2002 and appears on subsequent aerials.
